We had a great time visiting Grandi (Sky’s grandma) a few weeks ago in Jaquet River, New Bruswick. Although the start of the week was chilly and rainy, we were able to relax and enjoy playing around her house and on the rocky beach (in between the raindrops!) The girls had a great time playing dress-up with some old hats, and one day they even found a map to pirate treasure! After following the directions (8 steps up from the high tide line, and 8 steps west of Loveland Rock), they successfully dug up not one but TWO pirate treasure boxes – complete with coins, necklaces, sea glass, and other fun treasures. Another day after the rain let up, we had a bonfire on the beach with hotdogs and s’mores… yum!
Some more shots (finally) from our fun vacation in the Outer Banks of North Carolina! The girls loved going to the beach…

We had fun hanging out with everyone in the awesome house – and dinnertime was always a blast! This was our night to cook – so we made homemade pizzas and let everyone help out… delicious!

We attempted a family shoot on the beach one evening, rather unsuccessfully I’m afraid… but at least I got some good shots of the girls! I guess we’ll have to book a photographer ourselves someday soon – otherwise I’ll never get a decent picture of our family with me in it!!

A big thanks to Grandad Harvey for another wonderful family reunion. We’re already looking forward to the next one in 2011!

We had a blast in North Carolina last week at Sky’s family reunion — 27 people in one house is great!! Averhy loved the pool and the ocean, and really got a handle on swimming – yay!! Eden was not a fan of the ocean (until Thursday, she just ran away screaming whenever a wave came near her) but loved playing in the sand. A great time was had by all!

Just some shots from a few weeks ago, when we were up at Mema and Papa’s house… spent Sunday evening playing on the golf course and enjoying the nice weather. Averhy was practicing her putting with Mema, while Eden and I played a bit of catch with the golf ball…

So it’s all finished (a few weeks ago actually) and getting lots of use by the girls and the neighborhood kids! Yay!

Let’s see… painted it, put on the floor…benches… table… 2nd floor… railings… wall and window… ladder and slide. All that’s left to make it a swingset is the swings!
