our paleo* adventure : day 2

No picture for today… maybe tomorrow…  But my menu today was:

Breakfast : Activia yogurt with sliced almonds, chopped walnuts (much better than pecans!), frozen blueberries, and a cup of pomegranate blueberry juice.

Lunch : Leftover grilled lemon chicken from last night, 2 slices of provolone cheese, dried apricots, water.

Snack : Big bowl of fruit salad left over from last night.

Dinner : Spiral sliced ham, baked sweet potato, fruit salad (oranges, kiwi, strawberries, banana, blueberries, yogurt), milk.

Snack : A glass of pomegranate blueberry juice. And I might have a glass of milk before bed too…

I also went grocery shopping today and loaded up on fruits (strawberries were on sale – yay!!!) and veggies and meat for the grill… Now that we’re officially trying this diet, it is amazing how much I notice about what other people are buying at the grocery store, and also how the store arranges the food in the aisles.  For example, right next to the canned fruit and applesauce section is the marshmallow and chocolate pudding section… hmmm… but the store’s tactics didn’t work on me… I chose some no-sugar-added applesauce to try in a recipe tomorrow!
