…but Boston is fun!!

Last weekend our family took a road trip to Boston, so I could attend the Secret Photography Workshop and we could also visit my cousin David and his family (I’ll post some pics from that later.) While we were there, we took the opportunity to have some family pictures taken by my (new) friend Emily Nelson of At Last Images — aren’t these awesome shots that she took?!? Thank you so much Emily! If you live in the Minneapolis area, you should definitely check her out the next time you need family pics!! Although it was a LONG drive (we had to split it into two 9-hour days) the girls did great in the van (thank you DVD player) and we got to spend the night with our friends Carl and Elsie Smith on the way out (thanks for the tasty breakfast!). On the way back, we stayed at a hotel near Niagara Falls, and took the girls to see the falls (again, pics later…) then back on the road. Interesting tidbit… tried to stop for gas and food in Dayton, OH… but many gas stations were out of gas and all the fast food places were closed because they didn’t have power! I guess the storms that weekend knocked everything out… so we did finally find $3.99 gas (had to wait in a bit of a line) and snacks for supper at Meijer! It was a fun weekend — went by too fast though, and we’ll definitely have to go to Boston to visit again!
