…but we still managed to have a good weekend on the boat! We drove up to Racine on Sunday afternoon — stopped by to visit Tracy and Ian in Chicago on the way — and then enjoyed supper (with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Linda and Uncle Greg, and Greg’s friend Bill) at the Charcoal Grill. Had a pretty good night’s sleep on the boat… once Eden eventually fell asleep around 10… or 11… And then set sail in the morning around 10:30 or 11am after the rest of the group arrived (Will & Becky Marshall & their granddaughters Sloane & Vada; and Uncle Adam). It was wavy… and bumpy… and rolling… hence the seasickness. But once we got back to the dock, we all felt better and had a great lunch – complete with Oreos that Eden is showing off all over her face! So, several “firsts” this weekend on the boat… most people to spend the night (9)… first/most cases of seasickness (3)… first time that the Marshall’s and their granddaughters sailed with us… All in all, a memorable sail for our last sail of the season.
seasickness is not fun…
