We had a great time at Thanksmas this weekend! Eden and Averhy both had a blast playing with all of their cousins (yep, 15 kids under the age of 7 in one house… full of 42 people!). Sky and Kevin gave the ping-pong table a workout, and the Jeff and Ashley kept the chess board busy as well. The food was as tasty as ever – especially with Peter’s latest best dish — delicious cheesecake! Everyone had a great time and can’t wait for next year!

I realized that I hadn’t put up more Disney pics like I promised… so here are two! This is from our dinner in Cinderella’s castle, which Averhy thoroughly enjoyed. She has been talking about Disney a lot lately, actually… I wonder if she’s starting to forget some parts of it, and just wants to keep refreshing her memory! Today she reminded me that her favorite rides were Star Wars and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (which she can never remember the name of), and also Mickey’s Philharmagic 3D show… which led to a conversation about why it’s called that, and what a philharmonic orchestra is…

Happy Halloween!!
Happy Halloween everyone! We had a fun day — trick-or-treating at Sky’s office and then lunch at McDonald’s, long naps in the afternoon, then the Fall FunFest at church followed by handing out candy and trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. Averhy preferred standing on our front porch and passing out candy from her pumpkin bucket to anyone who came by. Eden preferred eating any candy she could get her hands on. Both of these shots are by Sky, and in the right picture are: Allyson, Eden, Averhy, Lizzie, Ezra, Colin, Chloe, and Esther. Fun was had by all!!

That’s was Eden was thinking in this shot, after she realized that her pumpkin has her boppy…
Anyway, we had a fun time carving pumpkins last night, despite a few bumps in the road… like the pumpkin patch we went to was out of pumpkins… and then the pizza burned a little… and then Eden’s reaction above… and she had even requested that her pumpkin be a baby with a boppy!! Oh well, it made us all laugh (despite Averhy’s expression) and she calmed down fairly quickly. Although now I’m really not looking forward to taking her boppy away from her at bedtime!! Sky’s always-creative pumpkin is on the left, then Averhy’s “surprised” pumpkin, then Eden’s baby pumpkin, then Allyson’s standard silly pumpkin…
