Just a quick look back at Thanksgiving, and probably a foreshadowing of Christmas! Today I was thinking once again that I really need to write down some fun facts about Eden, before I forget what she’s like right now — she certainly is the second child… I made scrapbooks for Averhy each year, complete with the first picture she painted and lists of words that she could say at different ages. Poor Eden… I haven’t done anything like that for her! So here are a few fun facts about Eden at 22 months old today!
1) She can say LOTS of words. The most entertaining ones are “wah-whass” (princess) and “owl” (chicken, rooster, and owl). Although many of her words aren’t easy to understand, she is persistent and we are patient in figuring it out!
2) Eden is very helpful! She loves throwing her trash in the garbage can, helping me load the washing machine and unload the dishwasher, and she’s starting to enjoy helping bake cookies too!
3) She is just a sweetheart, plain and simple.
4) Lately Eden really likes singing and dancing like a “wah-whass” – we’ve watched the movie “Enchanted” several times and have the soundtrack, so she often requests the song “That’s How You Know” by singing “nooo….” in such a cute voice!
5) One down side… she is learning how to ask nicely vs. whine… which means that she’s whining a lot lately. At least when we tell her that we can’t understand whining, she changes her tone of voice and says please!
Anyway, that’s all for tonight. Eden is such a sweetheart and we enjoy her every day!
