A few weeks ago, my family had a great week in Corolla, NC for a family reunion with my husband’s family.  It was an awesome week, full of playtime at the beach and in the pool with all 27 members of our extended family!  I just wanted to share a few shots with you… Averhy making a new friend (as usual) and Eden enjoying digging in the sand!

One more thing… I just saw this post on Jill Savage’s blog, and I’ve decided to take the Yes Mom challenge for the rest of this summer (since we’re already half-way through July… might as well try to do it until school starts!) It’s not about permissive parenting… it’s about saying yes to your kids’ requests when you’d usually say no out of selfish reasons.  It’s so much easier to say yes to things when you’re on vacation (like I am right now) but not so easy when you’re at home in the midst of piles of laundry, dirty dishes, supper that needs to be cooked and work that needs to be done… So I hope you’ll take the Yes Mom challenge with me!
