I had some great Sweet Pea Photography Mom & Me Mini-Sessions a few weekends ago, and had lots of fun meeting some new moms (and dads!) who really love their kids!  We had a blast playing in the park in Urbana and simply enjoying the special relationship between parents and children.  Here’s the first sneak peek from that busy day – I hope you guys enjoy it!  If you do, remember to leave a comment here on the blog – after 25 I’ll gift this lovely family with a 5×7 print from their session!

Have you ever considered how much fun it is to play with Q-tips?  No?  I hadn’t either, until I hung out with this cute 1-year-old guy and his family for a Chicago family photography session a few weekends ago… evidently I have been missing a TON of fun over the years, because nothing got bigger grins from this fella than simple, soft, white Q-tips.  You see, what I didn’t realize (and what he quickly showed me) is that Q-tips can be also used as swords, drumsticks, light sabers… practically everything a little boy needs! This kiddo is one smart cookie… I can’t wait to see what he can teach me when he turns two years old!  Thanks for a fun time in the city, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek — and leave a comment below for this creative birthday boy, so I can gift him a 5×7 print after 25 comments on the blog!

A few weeks ago I got to drive up to Crescent City to visit this darling baby girl and her big sister – who I photographed when she was born just a few years ago! It was fun to watch their family interact, and it’s clear that these are two very-much-loved little girls.  I hope you guys enjoy this sneak peek, and your proofs will be ready soon!  Remember to leave a comment here on the blog, because after 25 comments I’ll gift a 5×7 print to this sweetie!

    Hanna - Gorgeous pictures!

I had a great time with these kiddos at the Champaign Public Library a few weeks ago!  They all had fun during our commercial photo shoot, and we all read a lot of neat storybooks. If you haven’t been to the Champaign Public Library in a while – GO!! It’s a fantastic place with lots of fun programs for kids and adults. Maybe I’ll see you there this summer!  Thanks again to all the parents and kids who participated in this project – and keep your eyes open for your lovely faces promoting library programs in the future!

I had an absolute BLAST playing with this family a few weeks ago on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in Champaign-Urbana.  It was such a treat to watch them simply love each other and love playing together… silliness and giggles overflowed, which is the best kind of family fun there is.  Thanks for a great family photography session, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!  Remember to leave a comment here on the blog if you love family fun like this, because after 25 comments I’ll gift these guys a 5×7 print from their session.

  • June 8, 2011 - 10:48 pm

    Rachel Wickness - Awesome pictures!!

  • June 8, 2011 - 8:22 am

Kelly Pfeifer - Perfect moments captured perfectly! Allyson your approach to capturing families is one of your best skills. And of course, having such a fun family like them…perfection!

This darling girl was just that – as busy as a bee – during her family photography session a few weeks ago in Urbana.  Her family drove over from St. Joseph on a lovely Saturday morning, and we had a great time exploring the flowers, plants, and birdhouses at the park.  I’m so glad that her mom decided to enter the raffle drawing at Bella Bambini a few months ago, because she won this session!  Today I stirred up all the entries received at Bella Bambini this spring season, and drew out the name of the next lucky winner…  Cynthia Kitson!  Cynthia will receive a certificate for a free standard session with Sweet Pea Photography, that she can use anytime in the next six months!  If you’d like a chance to win a free Sweet Pea Photography session, just stop by Bella Bambini (near the corner of Kirby and Neil St.) anytime this summer to enter.  I’ll be drawing the next winner at the end of August – but you can enter as often as you’d like, so stop in today (and check out the super-cute summer clothing lines while you’re there!)

Max Suharev - very nice pictures! good luck!)

I had a ton of fun playing with this Mahomet family at their newborn session last week.  The new baby girl in their family is such a sweetie, and her big sister was so excited to show me all of her new tricks and toys (including her much-loved Bobo you see here).  I love seeing how kids change from year to year as I photograph their families, and they all just keep getting cuter over time!  Thanks for a fun session and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek – remember to leave a comment here on the blog, because after 25 I’ll gift these girls a 5×7 print!

As a side note – thank you to all the families who helped out with the Champaign Public Library commercial shoot yesterday!  I had a great time, and I think your kiddos did too.  For those who contacted me but weren’t able to participate this time, I’ll certainly keep you in mind for future commercial photography projects – thanks!
