I can’t believe it has already been 6 months since this little guy was born… and he’s not so little anymore! Can you believe how much he has changed?? Wow. I’m so glad his beautiful mom and dad decided to do this 6 month family photography session at their home in Champaign, because it was awesome. So awesome that I couldn’t just choose 3 images for their sneak peek! Leave a comment below if you love these images too, and help them receive a 5×7 print after 25 comments. Thanks again for a fantastic Sweet Pea Photography session you guys!!
I had a great time hanging out with these cool kids at the Lake of the Woods park in Mahomet a few weekends ago (oh, and their cool parents were there too!) We explored the park, rolled in the grass, ate some lollipops, saw some squirrels… you know, all of those fun things that will be a part of your Sweet Pea Photography family photography session! Thanks for a great session and I hope you guys enjoy this sneak peek – and remember to leave a comment to earn a 5×7 print after 25!

We LOVE the sneak peek. We can’t wait to see the rest. Thanks Allyson.

I had so much fun playing with this cute girl and her family in Chicago a few weekends ago for their Sweet Pea Photography family session! She is the darling niece of one of my awesome Champaign families, and I’m so glad that I got to meet her. We had a great time exploring the park, playing with bubbles, petting her beautiful dog, and splashing in the fountain (which was a necessity because it was so HOT outside!) Thanks for a great session and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek! Remember to leave a comment for this awesome family, because after 25 I’ll gift them a 5×7 print!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope your family has enjoyed both the relaxing and busy moments of summer… and I can hardly believe that fall is right around the corner! School starts in just a few weeks, which brings big changes for many of your kiddos, and I hope they’re all excited for what lies ahead. Here at Sweet Pea Photography, there are several exciting things planned for this fall!
* New Beloved Sessions! One of my favorite things about working with families is seeing the affection, playfulness, and love between parents and their children. Over the past few months, I’ve been thinking a lot about these relationships, and the unique opportunity I have to interact with your family and perhaps even create positive change in the way you view one another. Beloved sessions grow out of the emerging field of experiential photography, and are designed to make your Sweet Pea Photography experience so relaxed, enjoyable, and meaningful that our time together continues to positively affect your family relationships long after the session has ended. Beloved Couple sessions are designed for married couples who simply wish to celebrate their love for one another and be reminded of why they first fell in love. Beloved Family sessions are the new standard session, and encorporate new playful games to create a space in which we’ll create and capture honest interactions between your children and you. I’d love to talk with you more about this new approach to lifestyle photography – just ask!
* New Locations! As an artist, it’s important to keep my creative juices flowing… so beginning in September, sessions will take place at new locations around Champaign-Urbana! You’re always welcome (and encouraged!) to have your session at your home, where your family is most comfortable, but if you’d like to explore the great outdoors then we’ll explore together!
* The Holidays are Approaching! I know it’s only August, but the holidays will be here before you know it! Sweet Pea Photography offers custom holiday card design (new designs will be revealed soon) – and this year, 100% of the profits of Sweet Pea Photography holiday card purchases will benefit the new Champaign County YMCA! This is a great opportunity for you to support a fantastic community organization, and share beautiful holiday greetings with your friends and family! You are welcome to use images from any 2011 session on your holiday card, but December 1st will likely be the cut-off for holiday orders this year (and perhaps the start of the annual holiday gift certificate sale??) so please plan ahead when scheduling your fall session or placing holiday card orders!
Which brings us to the big news for today… the August – December schedule is now OPEN! Look at the tabs above, click on session info -> availability and you’ll see a list of all the available session dates and times for fall. Then call or email me to request a time, and we’ll get it set up! Don’t forget… your session fee will be due to reserve your session date/time. Looking forward to the colorful and cool days of autumn!

This sweet baby girl has got to be one of the most-loved babies in Champaign-Urbana… I know this because her parents are part of my church family, and are absolutely adored by everyone they meet — so you know this sweet girl will be adored 10x as much! Thanks for the privilege of capturing this special time in the life of your growing family!

absolutely positively perfect.

I had the privilege of meeting this darling family at the park in Urbana recently, and it was a treat! These kiddos are cousins of some of my most loyal clients, and I hope they become loyal clients too — we certainly had lots of fun, and I think we could have even more fun next time (when it’s not so HOT!!) Thanks for a great session, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek. Be sure to leave a comment here on the blog, and then pass it along to all of your friends so they can too! As usual, after 25 comments, I’ll gift these kiddos a 5×7 print!
