I’m super excited about this fun opportunity! After teaching an after-school photography club at my daughters’ elementary school for the past 5 years, I’ve decided to try teaching a class for kids this summer! Here are the details:

When: Monday June 13 through Thursday June 16 from 11am – 2pm each day

Where: This class will be at my home (708 Lavender Dr, Savoy)

Who: The class is open to kids entering 3rd through 6th grades who are interested in learning more about photography!

What: We will do activities each day related to lighting, composition, camera parts, and even shooting on manual! Students should bring a sack lunch each day, and a digital camera (DSLR if possible).  I will also provide them with a film camera for some activities. (If your child is enrolled in the 4H photography projects, we will do several activities that they can use for their project and possibly enter at the fair!)

Cost: The cost for this 4-day class is $120 per student, and enrollment is limited to 8 students.

Email me today if your student would like to sign up! As of 5/18/16 there are 4 spots remaining!

I think it’s awesome to see the world through the eyes of our kids… so as an example, here are some images that students captured in the class I taught this spring… photos by Addie M., Abby C. and Jenna L.
